March’s

NEW MOON ADVENTURE

New Moon in Pisces Yoga Club! Set an intention that creates the pathway for you to live the life you were born to live! Through a series of hamstring releasing yoga poses, discover that you connect to the bigger picture through your back body. The ability to trust fall into the support of grace, community, and friends in high places.

(legs, hamstrings)

FEBRUARY’S FULL MOON PRACTICE

You’ll learn about a very special Yoga Technique and Practice called Drishti – the ability to cultivate a strong focus and concentration on one thing. 🙂 This will be helpful as you draw a line in the sand to release those habits and patterns that no longer match up with where your heart desires to go.

Cultivate the garden of your heart, with sweet heart openers, to create the openness to see and receive Divine guidance.

(Shoulders, Hips)

FEBRUARY’S NEW MOON PRACTICE

Strengthen your core and open your hips!! With these foundational yoga poses you’ll discover that when you set your intentions, build a strong base, the rest of the day flows naturally according to the tone you set here.

(hips, core, thighs)

YOUR PRACTICE FOR THIS WEEK!

A practice to wake you up.

Cultivating the ability to discern between what is Right and what is Almost Right – Viveka. All while unlocking your hamstrings and dancing through the triangle pose 🙂

It’s not about what’s right or wrong so much as, what’s” “right” between what’s “almost right” is where the practice of Viveka will serve you best. The key is getting into the feeling sense of what’s going on rather than staying in your head.

(hamstrings, legs, flexibility)

Great for Afternoon or Evening

For a bloom to stand tall and withstand the spring weather, it requires deep, strong roots. Tonight’s class will create a strong anchor for you so that you can weather your daytime adventures with more gracefulness. Seated hip openers 🙂 Please note this is a very subtle and deep class. The clearing and stress release happens on a very low key physical level and and very deep energetic level. This is perfect for those times when you’re super tired, sore from workouts, mom life, deep tissue massages, yard work.

(hip openers, running energy, calming, soothing, hip strengthener, low key)

Wild Wonderful Wacky Yoga – Intermediate to Advanced Practice

Spring into action and continue to cultivate upper body and core strength to make the journey into headstand more enjoyable! Discover ways to open your hips, lengthen your hamstrings, and find your center! Plus a cool visualization at the end to disentangle all the debris and clutter you pick up along the way! (Please Note: the sound cuts out at the end in Savasana – good ole Mercury in Retrograde. So simply give yourself enough time to rest and then carry on with your daily adventures!)

(hamstrings, legs, core, hips, sun dial)

* Remember this is an Intermediate/Advanced class designed for the yogi who has been playing for a little while and wants to up the ante and learn some of the finer details on how to get into poses like crane, headstand, upward facing bow, wild thing……..and much more!

(Please remember to listen to your breath and body as you do any practice. When you are trying to determine your ‘edge’ – how far you should go in a pose, pay attention to your breath. If you are holding your breath, grasping for it, or breathing short, quick breaths come out of the pose – you’re pushing too hard. The goal is to breathe even, steady breaths in all that you do. They may not always be deep but they are steady.)
