YOUR PRACTICE FOR THIS WEEK!


A practice to wake you up.

Focused and to the point – “Where your attention goes, there your energy flows.” Be mindful of focusing on the things that bless your life and let go of the things that no longer bless you. A yoga play of twists to help you drop the serious nature that creeps in when it’s time to organize that closet……. This is one smokin’ practice….literally. 🙂 Your hips will feel completely blissed out in savasana! 🙂


Great for Afternoon or Evening

Honor the emotional exhaustion that comes from cleaning house. Join me for a slow, yin style yoga practice. Imagine just chillin’ in some fun hip openers (yes, *fun*) 🙂 for 3-5 minutes each. Really, it will be delicious. 🙂

This is one of my FAVORITE routines for when my hips and back are feeling achy. You will feel like you just walked away from the best massage evah!

(Please note that I ran into audio trouble at the 34 minute mark. Because this is such a fantastic practice I’ve kept it in our rotation. Please take a few minutes for your Savasana at the end. Big hugs to you!)

Wild Wonderful Wacky Yoga – Intermediate to Advanced Practice

Continuing the play on twists, you’ll up the ante and start to experience the lightness of being that comes over you when you’ve made some space. Think of that great feeling after you’ve just organized your utensil drawer or cleaned out your fridge….ahhhhhhhh……You’ll playfully dance your way into sideways crane. (Hip Openers, Twist, Detox, Arm Balances, Core Strengthener) What to bring: a playful spirit

* Remember this is an Intermediate/Advanced class designed for the yogi who has been playing for a little while and wants to up the ante and learn some of the finer details on how to get into poses like crane, headstand, upward facing bow, wild thing……..and much more!

(Please remember to listen to your breath and body as you do any practice. When you are trying to determine your ‘edge’ – how far you should go in a pose, pay attention to your breath. If you are holding your breath, grasping for it, or breathing short, quick breaths come out of the pose – you’re pushing too hard. The goal is to breathe even, steady breaths in all that you do. They may not always be deep but they are steady.)
