Open Your Heart

When frustration and anger overwhelm your senses, there is a disconnect. Have you ever gotten worked up about lost keys? Maybe you stomp around the house, knowing that you’ll be late. You run from room to room in agitation, getting more and more frustrated. All that noise and conversation going on in your brain is distracting you even more and you forget where you’ve searched.
Only to pause a moment, breathe, and realize the keys were in your pocket the whole time.
One of the reasons I fell in love with my husband is that he is so down to earth and rooted. Life might be going crazy around him (read his crazy hot headed, doing my best to be a good yogi, wife is running around the house), yet he stays centered.
Once upon a time he lost his wallet. Normally a person would get quite upset about this. He slowed down, to pause, to reflect. He went to sleep! Can you believe it!?! He knew the only way it would come back to him, was if he quieted the chatter in his mind, waited for the inspirational hit, and voila followed the clue to his wallet. He did find it by the way. (Thank you St. Anthony. 🙂 )
If you are searching for answers, you’ll never be able to fully hear them if your huffing and puffing in anger. The agitation will distract you from your search and pull you away from your center.
It is imperative that you breathe. The breath is the gateway to the heart.
When you connect to your heart, you connect to the peace that passes all understanding. Which leads you to faith and hope, you know deep down inside you’ll find what you’re looking for. This leads you LOVE.
Filled with gratitude, you remember your blessings and the answers naturally flow. It’s as if your mind opens and the answers are revealed.
You can use physical yoga postures to help you let go of the tension, frustration, and anger. And these yoga postures will open your heart and lead you to a place of love. Where you realize all the support is there for you, if you only know where to look.
