Happy Shoulders

There is another quote that really brings home why it is so important to do your practice. It motivates me on days when I question if I have the time or drive to do my practice. 

“Under pressure, you don’t rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training. That’s why we train so hard.”  ~Anonymous Navy Seal

Your practice will come to your aid when life decides to get bumpy. Good bumps or bad bumps, it’s all about how you ride them out. Can you ride with grace? All the time you’ve put into your yoga practice will make it so much easier to find it.

Think of it like the grooves in a record 🙂 (vinyl is all the rage, so a record analogy shouldn’t be too foreign. Although my son was just outraged that I had to use a typewriter, no computer back in the day, for my english papers.)

Each time you do your practice, catch yourself in an unhelpful thought, see the beauty in the moment, you are creating a deeper groove. A pattern that you can fall into easily and without much work when the time comes.

You will benefit greatly in the long run from the practice you do today. Plus you should feel pretty free and open in the chest, shoulders, and upper back. Find the groove that allows your heart song to sing out loud and clear.
